VSIP4
VSIP4 is ATEME’s latest 4 channel IP video/audio encoder with integrated DNA technology. Video is encoded using ATEME’s internally developed H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) codec. As the result of many years of focused encoding development, ATEME is in the unique position of providing the best H.264 encoding solutions available on the market today.
This new VSIP4 compact design means that it is possible to fit 80 video channels on a 3U rack. This translates to a huge saving in space and cabling costs. Each stream can be configured and managed as required via an integrated web interface. Configuration settings are then held in memory on a back plane integrated into the rear of the rack housing. This greatly reduces any potential system downtime as replacement cards get automatically configured with the previous cards settings.
VSIP4 is the first product from ATEME to incorporate the full range of tools available in the Dynamic Network Adaption (DNA) feature set. The DNA feature set not only reduces network bitrates but enhances the encoder by providing even further improvements in video quality. Also included in DNA are many intelligent alarm functionalities. |
In order to give our customers optimal results, we have designed a dual processor architecture to get the maximum performance from the hardware. (DSP’s for video processing and a GPP for streaming and system management).
