National Film Board decides for ATEME

By Monika Fourneaux Ceskova.

With the high speed development of new technologies, viewers have now the option to watch video content through various supports. Terms such as Mobile TV, IPTV, OTT and VOD set their path to our lives and became everyday language of all broadcasters.

As far as the consumer, he or she appreciates the freedom: Watch a soap opera or live football match everywhere and on any device. The main objective of streaming to multiple devices was attained.

Nevertheless, just how many of us stopped watching content on mobile or through internet just because the quality was awfully bad?

As predicted by many, the new challenge of today shifts to the High Quality of Experience.

This is one of the reasons why, the National Film Board of Canada who is building a new multi-screen digital media delivery workflow and wishes to maintain the high quality of experience, announced its partnership with ATEME.

ATEME proposes TITAN complete solution for mass transcoding, through which the production of bandwidth efficient high quality content is assured to serve the delivery to multiple screens.
