Support and Deployment Engineer (Post Sales) – Chile

Main activities

The candidate will be in charge of  project deployments and technical support activities in South America. As a project leader, the candidate will be responsible for:Support and Deployment Engineer

Project Management:

  • Factory acceptance tests
  • System integration and testing
  • Interoperability management
  • Project & System setting configurations
  • System documentation
  • On-site integration & deployment with customer technical staff

 

Technical support:

  • Phone, e-mail and onsite technical support;
  • Tracking and follow up of customers incidents from their submission up to their resolution on the customers side;
  • Elaborating, replicating and managing test platforms;
  • Validation of patches and hot fixes;
  • RMA (Return Material Authorization) follow up;
  • Internal support to presales and system engineers;
  • Technical training;
  • Prepare and provide systems technical training to key customers

 

Administration and documentation:

  • Manage the CRM (Salesforce) database: incident tracking and management, and knowledge base;
  • Create and maintain technical notes for knowledge base of our products;
  • Generate maintenance documentation;
  • Contribute to the continual enhancement of support process;
  • Contribute to product documentation elaboration and improvement: Datasheets, Release Notes and Manuals

 

Experience Required

  • Engineer diploma in computer science, engineering or related technical fields
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • A first technical experience in customer support and/or R&D would be a plus
  • Knowledge in major technical disciplines necessary for support, troubleshooting and testing of various digital video broadcast and delivery systems
    • Knowledge of IP Networking, and video streaming technologies
    • Deep understanding of MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264/AVC compression, ABR streaming video and OTT technologies including HLS, HSS, and HDS
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with an ability to navigate and communicate at all levels
  • Good problem investigation and solving skills
  • Able to work within a multi-cultural team
  • Ability to travel 30-50%

Solutions Engineer (Pre Sales) – Denver Area

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for pre sales technical activities in support of the ATEME Inc. sales team. As an experienced solutions engineer, the candidate will be responsible for product sales demonstrations, solution design, RFP/RFI response, technical training and an escalations advocacy role for customers and partners as main pre sales activities. The candidate should bring feedback to product enhancements and should communicate in writing and through oral presentation the precise areas of the product that are causing the most frequent requests.

The successful candidate is a self starter, working under minimal guidance and is quick in identifying and prioritizing the level of the customer requests. This engineer needs to form a strong bond with the Sales Managers in the territory to achieve assigned revenue goals.

Desired Skills & Experience

Skills Required:

  • Lead and manage product trials, demos and POCs.
  • Create customer proposals (including RFP/RFI).
  • Give formal presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with an ability to navigate and communicate at all levels
  • Gather market and customer requirements based on ongoing customer visits.
  • Recommending products, technical architecture, and operational best practices.
  • Perform competitive analysis and develop competitive positioning.
  • Support marketing activities at tradeshows.
  • Attend and present at industry forums and conventions.

 

Experience Required:

  • BS or equivalent in computer science or engineering.
  • 5+ years with technical experience in the Broadcast, Cable and/or telecom industries.
  • Knowledgeable in major technical disciplines necessary for the end-to-end system design, analysis, integration, and testing of various digital video broadcast and delivery systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with an ability to navigate and communicate at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264/AVC, HEVC H.265 compression, ABR streaming video and OTT technologies including HLS, HSS, and HDS.
  • Multilingual would be a plus (Spanish, French, Portuguese)
  • Ability to travel 40%-50%.
