With over three decades of experience in the media & entertainment industry in both Germany and the USA, Basse has served on the board and been Chairman of several industry organizations, has been awarded 28 patents, and was named a Fellow of the Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers.

VP Distribution Strategy & Architecture at Warner Bros. Discovery
Based in London, Crochemore brings 23 years of experience in the entertainment industry, with technical, managerial, business development and strategic partnership roles at Discovery and Eurosport. Crochemore has an engineering degree in space communication systems.
Mike Kralec
SVP/Chief Technology Officer at Sinclair Broadcast Group
Mike Kralec serves as SVP/Chief Technology Officer focused on technology-enabled transformation across Sinclair Broadcast Group’s diversified media and operations landscape. He has been with the group for over 20 years. His previous role as VP/Technical Operations and Deputy CTO was central to launching public-cloud-based media operations and ATSC 3.0 commercialization. Kralec received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Towson University and his Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland. He is a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mao brings over 25 years of experience in the media and technology industry, where he has held leadership positions in technology, strategy, architecture, engineering, and R&D innovation. A prolific inventor with over 50 patents granted, Mao has studied in both China and the USA and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.

Sylvain Géron
Former CTO at Canal Plus Group
A graduate of École polytechnique, Télécom ParisTech and Sciences Po Paris, Sylvain contributed to the opening-up of the French telecom market between 1997 and 1999, when he was working for the regulator (ARCEP), before becoming an entrepreneur by co-founding Polyconseil and Wifirst. Wifirst is now the French leader in WiFi Internet access, and Polyconseil, a strategy consulting firm with more than two hundred employees, notably developed Autolib’, the first electric car-sharing service in the world. Between 2016 and 2022, Sylvain was CTO of the Canal+ Group.

Joanna Darlington
Independent Board member since 06/2015
Joanna Darlington is Head of Financial Communications/Chief Transformation Officer of the satellite operator, Eutelsat Communications. Prior to joining Eutelsat Joanna was a partner at the capital markets consultancy, Makinson Cowell (part of the Corporate Advisory Group of KPMG) and before that head of European equity research at BNP Paribas and head of Pan-European research at ABN AMRO. Joanna is a British National and a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
Michel Artières
Co-founder, President, CEO
Michel Artières is a co-founder, President and CEO of Ateme. Previously, Michel had directed R&D in Image Processing and Compression at the French Ministry of Defence. He specifically directed research in the field of progressive lossless compression for very high definition images, and blurred image restoration in noisy environments. Michel received his engineering degree from Supelec, Paris, with a specialization in signal processing.
Jacques Galloy

Jacques Galloy is founder and Managing Partner of Gaudeto, an Advisory and Investment Company focused on small to mid-size technology and media companies. He is also a board member of six companies. He has 20 years of business leadership experience and active participation in successful international expansions in both business and equity capital markets. He served 12 years, until 2014, as Board member and CFO of EVS, a world leader in a TV technology niche, and top-30 Belgian listed company. He co-founded and chaired the Board of dcinex (European leader in digital cinema) for 8 years, until 2013.
Benoit Fouchard

Benoit Fouchard is a business development manager for Hexagon AB. At Ateme between 2001 and 2015, Benoit was first head of sales and – from 2010 – in charge of the company’s product and growth strategy. Since leaving Ateme in 2015, Benoit has worked in technology business development positions in the automotive, life science, and health industries – and today in the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering and Construction). Benoit graduated from HEC, Paris and CEMS.
Laurent Cadieu

Laurent Cadieu is Founding Managing Partner of Largam, an investment boutique located in Luxembourg. Laurent served as Head of European Equities of BNP Paribas, and managed BNP Paribas entities in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. He served as Member of the board of Nasdaq Europe and Easdaq from 2001 to 2007, and as a Director of small technology companies in Europe. Laurent graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and ENST.
Beatrice Pesquet-Popescu

Beatrice Pesquet-Popescu is Research and Innovation Director at Thales AMS (Air Mobility Solutions), where she defines, implements, and manages research and innovation plans in line with the four pillar technologies of the group: Big Data, AI, cybersecurity, IoT. She is also an internationally recognized leader in the field of machine learning, AI and multimedia (video compression, 3DTV, networking), statistical signal and image processing, data modeling, convex optimization and big data.
