Peter Gogas is a director of Engineering at Gray Television, focusing on broadcast system design/integration, on-air encoding, and ATSC 3.0 development. He began his broadcasting career with Gray in 2005 as an overnight master operator at KBTX. Two years later he joined the KBTX engineering team. He began his current role on Gray’s corporate engineering team in 2016.

Dr. Paul Hearty, Chief Standards Strategist, Samsung Research America
Paul Hearty is a pioneering leader in advanced television systems, with decades of experience in broadcast technology and standardization. Currently Chief Standards Strategist at Samsung Research America, he drives ATSC and other industry standards. Previously, he held key roles at Sony, General Instrument/Motorola, and the Communications Research Centre (Canada), shaping digital TV evolution, satellite broadcasting, and video compression. A Technical Emmy Award recipient, Hearty has contributed to four additional Emmy-winning innovations. With a PhD from Queen’s University Canada, he continues to influence the future of NEXTGEN TV.

Robin Herin, Director of Standardization, Ateme
Robin Hérin is a Director of Standardization within the CTO Office at Ateme, where he helps the Research & Innovation team develop future technologies for video processing and delivery, and drive partnership projects and standardization advances. Robin also co-chairs the Advanced Television Standards Committee (ATSC) Planning Team 9, studying Sustainability of Media and Data Distribution and presents at conferences frequently on behalf of ATEME. Now in his ninth year at Ateme, Robin has previously worked in both South & North America as a Solutions Architect before moving to New York. Robin holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France) and plays handball for the New York City Team Handball Club.
