IBC 2025 is a wrap. With 43,800+ attendees and over 1,300 exhibitors in Amsterdam, the show was buzzing with ideas that will shape the future of media. For Ateme, it was also a moment of validation: the themes we laid out before the event “Drive Efficiency. Empower Innovation. Elevate Experience.” were exactly the conversations happening across the floor.

Here’s what stood out, and how it connects to what we brought to IBC.
AI Goes Practical
At IBC, AI wasn’t hype, it was utility. Panels and demos showed AI moving from pilots to production: powering automation, translation, and smarter workflows.
This matched our focus on AI-driven translation, encoding, and orchestration. The industry’s next challenge isn’t “Do you have AI?” but “Can your AI scale responsibly and reliably?” That’s where Ateme’s approach is already delivering.
Efficiency Redefined
Operational efficiency was the heartbeat of IBC 2025. From cloud-native workflows to open standards like MXL, the drive was clear: simplify everything, reduce costs, and stay interoperable. With TITAN Edge we demonstrated how software now plays at hardware level, breaking the rules of imagination by reaching record density with 56 channels per RU and latency once thought possible only with dedicated hardware.
We demonstrated how technology convergence enables OTT Primary Distribution, offering broadcasters the cost-effectiveness and reach of IP delivery with satellite-level reliability. Our fully IP workflows and PILOT Manager orchestration highlight the need to fundamentally rethink distribution for greater efficiency.
Immersive Sports, But Built to Scale
Immersive demos stole the spotlight, from XR arenas to multi-angle streams. But the real question was: can this run at scale, with reliability and cost control?
We showed that it can. Our MV-HEVC encoding powered 180°/360° experiences already used at major sporting events, complete with AI-powered live translation and flexible Ateme+ Cloud MCR workflows. The result: immersion that’s ready for prime time, not just trade-show wow factor.
Monetization Without Friction
Personalized advertising and FAST channels were hot topics. The industry has moved past proving the concept; now it’s about making monetization seamless for viewers.
That’s where Ateme’s low-latency DAI, SSAI/SGAI, and VAST Proxy shone. Combined with workflow automation through PILOT Media, we showed how to unlock new revenue without breaking the experience.
Collaboration as the New Normal
IBC 2025 made one thing clear: the future is built together. From the IBC Accelerator on Ultra-Low Latency Streaming to Dolby Vision workflows at the Ultra HD Forum, collaboration was everywhere. Ateme didn’t just exhibit; we partnered, contributed, and co-created.
Looking Ahead
Before IBC, we set out to prove that efficiency, innovation, and experience are inseparable. After IBC, the industry has made it clear: those aren’t just themes, they’re survival strategies.
If you want to explore what these takeaways mean for your roadmap, let’s connect. Ateme is ready to help you innovate faster, scale smarter, and elevate every viewing experience.
