ATEME's workshop in Jakarta

There is a first time for everything that we do or attempt to do. Courage and team work are always the key to doing something well even if it’s the first time. As the EMEA and AMERICAS ATEMEians have set precedence in organizing and delivering Technology Seminars cum Workshops – the APAC team followed in their footsteps and held our very first Video Compression themed Workshop. With the collaboration from Aditech Matra – our notable Channel Partner in Indonesia, ATEME APAC Team conducted a one day Seminar plus Workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The event took place at a Conference Room at a very prestigious Shangri La Hotel on 20th of August 2014. After hard team work not only from the regional office but also help from the folks in HQ, we manage to have unexpected number of participants. 54 personnel from 22 different organizations and entities including but not limited to FTA broadcasters, Pay TV Operators, Content distributors and Content producers were present. Many topics related to video compression technology were discussed and presented throughout the day. A demo session and hands-on session covering both the contribution encoder decoder and KFE was part of the agenda too.

Though the principle idea of this event was part of Go To Market Strategy for APAC, the great response and participation from local players and industry experts was a very encouraging sign for ATEME’s future not only in Indonesia alone but also throughout South East Asia. An extended Q & A Session was evidence that ATEME Technology and Solutions are an eye opener and indeed attract interest to look into them in more detail. As the nation gearing up for Digital Switch Over and LTE Roll Out, the market opportunity is vast and establishing the brand and creating strong partnership is vital. In summary this has been a huge success. This is the first event for APAC and the first time in Indonesia but there will surely be many more to come in the near future. And that future looks brighter than it has ever looked.
