Kyrion CM5000 Encoder Provides Enhanced Video Quality and Operational Efficiency

  • State broadcaster RTB provides free-to-air television – Radio Television Brunei is noteworthy in the industry for its forward-thinking strategies and advanced engineering techniques. It began broadcasting radio programs in May of 1957 and launched the country’s first color television service (previously there was no black & white service) in July of 1975.
  • Satellite uplink center relies on Kyrion – The broadcaster has provided 24/7 satellite uplink service since 2006. RTB4 International is delivered over Asia via the Asiasat 5 satellite. In order to facilitate the transmission of the daily RTB International program, RTB selected the Kyrion CM5000 encoder to upgrade the new configuration of its existing system.
