Project: Ultra-Low Latency Live Streaming at Scale: Championed by BT Media & Broadcast, RTE, SVTA (Streaming Video Technology Alliance), GLOBO, BBC, YLE. Participants: Ateme, Elecard, Google, Yospace, Qualabs:This project aims to develop and demonstrate a scalable, open architecture for ultra-low latency live TV streaming over the internet, matching the performance of traditional broadcasting. It leverages existing HTTP streaming technologies and infrastructure to enable instant playback, tight viewer synchronization, and support for millions of users.
