Try various compression profiles “hands-on” and see visual quality differences on a split screen – only on ATEME’s NAB booth SU6325

roadcast Contribution, Turn-Key Video Head End and Multi-Screen Transcoding at the NAB Show (Stand SU6325) in Las Vegas, April 12-15, 2010.
Broadcast Contribution

ATEME’s booth SU6325 will exhibit two parallel encoder-decoder chains, allowing visitors to compare best in class MPEG-2/4 compression in 4:2:0, 4:2:2 8-bit and 4:2:2 10-bit profiles at different bitrates from the same source, and to challenge the benefits of 10-bit sampling for high end contribution links. “With the reduction of latency achieved since the solution was introduced at NAB last year, the continuous quality enhancements, addition of MPEG-2, 3D simulcast, and 1080p60 support of both encoder and decoder, we can practically call this latest Kyrion line our Second Generation 10-bit encoder decoder pair” says Nicolas Moreau, Product Marketing Manager, Contribution.

Turn-Key Video Head End

Come find out why ATEME has been selected on all continents as the partner of choice for the most ambitious green-field digital television projects in the past year. “In China, Malaysia, Algeria, Luxemburg and Costa-Rica, ATEME has been selected not only to deliver the most bandwidth efficient video encoding technology, but to engineer, commission and service real turnkey solutions” says David Ramirez, Manager of Applications & Systems Engineering at ATEME for the Americas region. “At NAB we will show examples of the management tools we provide to maximize operational efficiency and amazing low bit rate quality for IPTV, terrestrial, satellite, and cable networks.”

Multi-Screen Transcoding

The scale and complexity of our customers’ VOD content workflows keep increasing calls for our transcoding solutions to produce multiplicity of formats (Blu-ray quality 2D for TV, Stereoscopic 3D, iPhone, HD on the web). The same scale and complexity require us to add more features streamlining mass production workflows (NLE editing functions, Dolby E input, Civolution watermarking) while processing content as fast as possible.

“TITAN is our answer” says Rémi Beaudouin, Product Marketing Manager at ATEME. “TITAN is an immensely scalablevideo transcoding solution. Leveraging all the features, and benefits of the broadly acclaimed Kyrion File Encoder, TITAN’s powerful platform is yet so simple to use and maintain that it effectively diminishes the operational costs and energy consumption of our clients, allowing them to focus on what is truly important.

We are pleased to exhibit an off-the-shelf Titan on our booth, come by and witness its prowess and imagine what it can do for you.
